Portland Rising Suspends Operations

Portland Rising has suspended operations and will not compete in the 2025 Premier Ultimate League season.

After five years in the PUL, Rising Owner Chloë Rowse has made the difficult decision to pause the team for the upcoming season. This step reflects the need for new leadership and a more sustainable structure to support the team’s long-term growth and success.

Rising joined the league in 2019, with its inaugural season planned for spring 2020. While operations are paused for 2025, the vision for Portland Rising remains strong. The team is actively seeking new ownership and/or management to carry the legacy forward. Those interested in this opportunity are encouraged to contact Portland Rising at info@portlandrising.me for more information.

“Portland will be sorely missed this season,” said PUL Commissioner Amanda Dallas. “We have offered and continue to offer our support to Rising as they figure out what is next for the franchise. We hope to see Portland return to the field in 2026.”

With the suspension of Portland, the league has made temporary adjustments to our regular season format that will be addressed in the 2025 schedule announcement next month.
