WUL and PUL Face Off in First-Ever All-Star Game Hosted at UFA Championship Weekend

Los Gatos, CALIF. (Apr. 24, 2025) - The Western Ultimate League (WUL) and the Premier Ultimate League (PUL) will play the first ever WUL vs. PUL All-Star Game during the 2025 UFA Championship Weekend in Madison, Wisc., on Aug. 23. After completing their respective 2025 seasons in June, the WUL and PUL will each invite 18 of their top players to compete at Breese Stevens Field, immediately prior to the UFA title game on Saturday. The all-star matchup marks a historic milestone for the sport–the first official event between the two premier women and non-binary professional ultimate frisbee leagues in the world.

“We’re excited to showcase some of the game’s greatest ultimate frisbee athletes in a way that’s never been done before,” said WUL Executive Director Nicole Neumiller. “And we get to do it on a grand stage at UFA Championship Weekend. I’m proud to have our players share the field with the PUL, whose leadership and players have done so much to advance our sport.”

The All-Star Game will feature representatives from all teams in both the WUL and PUL, with each player wearing an exclusive game uniform featuring a specialty design to commemorate the event. The game will be played in the standard four 12-minute quarters with official observers, with final rules being announced in the summer along with final rosters and coaches.

“One of the goals of both our leagues is to showcase underrepresented athletes in our growing sport,” said PUL Commissioner Amanda Dallas. “This game is an exciting opportunity to celebrate our athletes and share their accomplishments with some of the biggest fans of ultimate in the world.”

The game will be streamed live and for free on YouTube, and admission to the game will be included with any 2025 UFA Championship Weekend ticket (weekend pass or single-day), along with an optional donation to a shared WUL and PUL fund. More information will be made available on the 2025 UFA Championship Weekend site.
