The Philadelphia Surge is the first semi-professional ultimate frisbee team for women, trans and genderqueer athletes in the Philadelphia area. The Surge strives to be a team that showcases and develops talented athletes and leaders to grow the sport across our region. Athletes from Philadelphia have played for other teams and cities in the PUL since the league started in 2019.

We are excited to offer an option to play for the community we most nearly contribute to and thrive in. A surge is a sudden powerful movement, especially by a crowd or natural force. We seek to assemble a crowd that will uplift teammates and the league.
