Tryout Fee is $40-$70 this year sliding scale and covers all tryout dates. If you need assistance with the tryout fee please contact support@losangelesastra.com before tryouts. We encourage folks with the means to contribute the maximum. The tryout fee reflects our commitment to making this women's and non-binary program sustainable in the long term.

Athletes who wish to tryout must be 18+ before December 7th, 2024.
We encourage athletes younger than 18 years old to participate in the Open session on December 7th from 11am-1pm for free, but cannot currently offer any athletes under 18 a spot on the team. If you are under 18 years old and sign up, do not pay a tryout fee and please note in the final section that you are an under 18 participant. You are welcome to watch the rest of tryouts, but we will ask all under 18 participants to clear the field at 1pm.
We're aware other teams have historically covered a varying amount of season costs. Astra rostered players will have Flights and Hotels for away games covered 100% as long as they are traveling with the team. Player's on field kit, team events, and all hard costs associated with the team's operations are covered by us. Players are only responsible for getting to and from Home Games, Team Practices, and departing airport for away games. Rostered players receive $25 for the season regardless of play time, and double the Los Angeles County Minimum Wage per game played.
Parking lots at USC are pay by the hour, so we encourage folks to carpool or take public transport to the fields. The Metro has a stop at Expo Park/USC that is approximately a 10min walk to the field. Please note that we will NOT have access to locker room facilities during tryouts. Restrooms will be available.

-Anything else you would normally bring to play Ultimate!
We will be providing hydration and nutrition, but if you have specifics you prefer make sure to bring them. We will also have various sunscreens available for attendees to use.
Medical staff will be on site.
It's possible we add another tryout date if there is demand.
