Thank you for your interest in the team! New York Gridlock Ultimate is the first professional ultimate frisbee team for women and gender-expansive athletes from the New York and surrounding areas, and a participating team in the Premier Ultimate League (PUL).

TRYOUTS
During tryouts athletes can expect their endurance and physical fitness to be tested in addition to their game knowledge and disc skills through a series of drills and scrimmaging. Plan to arrive early to sign in and prepare yourself for the event. There will be coaches and scouts at the tryouts who may pull you aside to talk or ask you some questions. Our promotion team will be onsite filming and/or photographing tryouts. By applying to tryout you give us permission to use film and photos of you in our promotions, videos, website, or similar.

REQUIREMENTS

• Sign-up for tryouts will close Friday, January 3rd at midnight. All applications and payments are due at this time.

• You must be 18 by the day of tryouts. Due to insurance requirements this is non-negotiable.  

WHAT TO BRING

• Cleats

• Light and dark jerseys

• Water bottle and snacks (some additional snacks and water will be provided on site)

• We encourage you to bring whatever you personally need to make it through multiple hours of intense exercise

COST

• Redistribution Rate #1: $60

• Redistribution Rate #2: $55

• Full Rate: $40

• Solidarity Rate #1: $30

• Solidarity Rate #2: $25
